ROGUE OUTDOOR CONSULTING

Rogue Outdoor Consulting offers professional wilderness training with the motto, "We don’t rise to the occasion, we fall back on our level of training." The featured course, Wilderness First Aid, is a 16-hour program split between 8 hours of self-paced online lectures and 8 hours of in-person skills training. Participants will earn a certification valid for 2 years. The course is led by Patrick Thompkins, a paramedic, wildland firefighter, and experienced backpacker. The training takes place on June 29, 2025, at Observer Ranch Campground & Learning Center in Penrose, CO, with a fee of $220. Additional classes include Wilderness First Responder, Map and Compass Navigation, and Introduction to Backpacking.
