Event Description:
Share your best ghost stories on Tuesday, August 21 at the Ghost Story Swap, a community fundraiser at the Rockvale Community Building, 156 Rockafellow Ave., at 6:00 p.m. Approach with caution. There have been rumors of ghostly activities right next door at the Historical Rockvale School (Town Hall). Story tellers and story lovers, come to tell your favorite ghost story or just to listen. Admission $5 Adults; $3 children; chips and drinks will be sold. All proceeds benefit the Town of Rockvale.
In July a group of 20 people enthusiastically exchanged their UFO experiences at the Rockvale Development Committee’s first Hair-Raising event. A third event in the series is scheduled for September 11, when Sasquatch, Big Foot and similar legends - or, are they living creatures? – will be explored. Actual photos will be available.
In addition the Committee is organizing a music program in the early Fall. These events are sponsored by the Rockvale Development Committee, which was formed in February 2018 to help the Town recover from recent set-backs. The focus of the Development Committee is to raise funds for the Town’s parks and maintenance, while providing positive community experiences.
